base hits as the California Gangsta Luv outscored the Tombstone Huckleberries

Garcia(6-3) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He didn't give up much,
just 3 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings reducing his ERA from 3.16 to 2.94. The
right-handed Garcia lost his chance for a no-hitter when Edgar Renteria
singled with nobody out in the 6th inning. Victor Santos earned the save
with a perfect ninth, his 3rd save.
Jamie Moyer(5-5) was hit with the loss. He surrendered 3 runs and 10 hits in
8 and 2/3 innings.
